Braydn

Wow is about all I can say right now.  I know life is crazy but it always seems to get more so.
We had parent teacher conference last week and it is just funny how things work out.  Braydn's Geography teacher let us know what a talented, smart, wonderful student we had how he always helps to keep the kids on task and he always does his assignments and she went on and on... That of course was my favorite.  His computer teacher didn't even know his name, his Chinese teacher was not there like usual and his math teacher, oh boy, you can not help but feel sorry for the guy because you know that the kids treat him like crap but what do you expect.  He looses so many assignments and it is apparent that his teaching skills are questionable when my son gets a 73 on a test which is a c- and his is the 3rd highest test score.  He wants the kids to re take the test but he is not going to review the subject again.   How frustrating is that?  His biology teacher loves him but of course says he likes to chat and not take notes.  He says the teacher is crazy.  lol.  Last week we had SEOP's so that we can make sure he is on track for graduation and help him get his classes for next year.  His councilor is awesome and explained a ton to us since I have no idea how this honors system and AP, IB, scholarship's and all of that work it was really beneficial.  She explained that there is a scholarship he can get where when he graduates they will just cut him a check and he can use it for schooling, car, whatever but if he has any grade lower than a B (Including a B-) he will loose $5000 from his scholarship.  Wow if that didn't open his eyes.  His grade for last term in Math was a B- and so she suggested he go and work with the teacher to get his grade changed.
This week has been really hard on him because he has had baseball tryouts.  He has worked so hard and I know in the beginning he was having second thoughts about playing ball this year but after all of the practices and taking the baseball class he is way excited.  He was so nervous but he made it past Monday and then he made it past Tuesday.  The coach was pulling kids in after and letting them know what he was thinking.  Braydn went in and he just said he would have to come back on Wednesday because he was still trying to decide.  Of course Braydn was thinking that he was for sure going to get cut but Wednesday morning Coach Moore pulled him in and said he made it.  He will not get to play a ton of games this year but it will be really good for him to be on the team!  He is stoked!  First game is next week!
The only downfall to all of this is his job.  Until May 25th he will not be able to work.  He is really dreading going in to talk to Ed about it.  He doesn't want to quit but most likely he will have to.  We will see what happens I guess.  He has to go in and sign his time card this week and talk to Ed but it is next to impossible because he has baseball every day after school until 5 or 5:30..
