Dr. Nephi Kezerian passed away at about 10:00 Tuesday night.
Saturday morning Dianna and Kevin got a call from Kevin's sister saying that Nephi had fallen and broken his arm and gashed his head between his eyebrow and his temple. He ended up being admitted in to Utah Valley for observation because there was blood going in to his brain.
He had 2 small heart attacks on Monday. We went to the hospital Monday night to see him and they had him very comfortable. I have never seen him so happy. He would look around the room and find someone and tell them that he needed a kiss and once he got one he would ask for another. He would just keep telling us he was getting them while they were free. lol. Even Terrance got a couple of good ones. He wasn't to sure about that but we all thought it was funny.
Candi and I were hugging and he turned his head back with the biggest grin. "Wow" he said. "Love is Love". Sometime during the night he had another heart attack. The nurses came in Tuesday afternoon and just let the family know that they had done everything possible and that they could keep him alive as long as the family wanted but his quality of life would be gone and each time he had a heart attack it would just get worse. They all had to make the tough decision to take him off of the oxygen and all of his iv's, make him comfortable and let nature take it's course. We went to visit him Tuesday night and he seemed content. Just like he was taking a nice nap. 94 years is quite a life and he sure accomplished a lot in his!
