Fall

Fall seems to be the craziest time of year for us. We don't seem to talk much to our friends but we do get to see a lot more of my family which is great!
The deer hunt opened August 21st this year and of course we spent that weekend in Fairview with my dad. The wind blew the whole time we were there. We did see a couple of bucks. One real nice one but couldn't get close enough to get a good shot at him. We took Monday off and figured everyone would leave Sunday afternoon so we could have the canyon all to ourselves and possibly find the big one again. Boy were we wrong. We went back down in to the canyon where he was hiding only to find 14+ four wheelers parked all over the trail. Usually we never see anyone in this canyon. After that we decided we were going home. We went back to camp loaded our things and got home around 11:00 that night. The next day was our 13th anniversary and since we had taken off work we just relaxed. It was nice.
We went out again last weekend and a few of our friends came up with us this time as well as mom and dad. We had a lot of fun and laughed until our insides hurt. T got a shot at another beautiful buck but missed.
Braydn went with Shane and Terrance one day after work and got a shot at a little buck but he shot right behind it. I think he learned that no matter how much you shoot at the target (he is a dang good shot I might add) When there is a real deer in front of you it is a whole different ball game.
Of course this week I got a call from Brydn's school. He was sick and needed me to come and get him. I was thinking this was just great. It has been 2 weeks since Kilynn had strep which means they are going to make me come in to the office so they could run a test. Lucky for me when I called Debbie was out of town and they decided it would be ok to just call in a Z pack for him. Thank goodness. We got him on the antibiotics early and so he never did get to sick.
Today is Friday and Monday is Labor day so hooray for a long weekend!
